Loyalty & Marketing Automation Manager
Do you believe in the strength of owned media? Do you dream about customer journeys and lifetime value - all strongly tech and automation enabled? Are you a data and tech driven marketer with a passion for building communities and rewarding loyalty? Do you have deep, practical experience developing world-class content and leveraging email marketing automation to drive engagement and revenue?
About Landfolk
Landfolk is a fast-growing, venture-backed marketplace for handpicked, unique holiday homes across Europe. We believe in getting closer to nature, culture and each other, offering guests beautiful surroundings and hosts a delightful, flexible platform. As we scale rapidly across seven countries (and counting!), we need a person to own the customer journey and engage our current and new customers through rich and personalized organic content.
As our Loyalty & Marketing Automation Manager, you will be the driving force behind our retention strategy. You'll move beyond mass communication, developing highly personalized, automated, and engaging experiences across the entire lifecycle—from first booking to becoming a Landfolk advocate. Email marketing being the primary driver.
Responsibilities:
Loyalty Strategy & Execution: Own the customer journey and develop/implement a sophisticated, multichannel loyalty & email strategy for both our Guests and Hosts to maximize engagement, retention, and Customer Lifetime Value (CLV).
Data & Segmentation: Deeply analyze customer data to develop and refine segmentation models, ensuring highly personalized and relevant communications are delivered at the optimal time.
Email Automation & Optimization: Manage our email marketing automation platform (experience with automation tools is a must), setting up trigger-based campaigns, and rigorously A/B testing all elements of the communication strategy to drive continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with our Product, Tech, and Community teams to align the digital experience, introduce new features, and ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints.
Performance Measurement: Define, track, and report on key loyalty KPIs (e.g., retention rate, CLV, churn, campaign ROI), translating data insights into clear, actionable business recommendations.
Permission/sign-up strategy: Develop and execute a solid permission/sign-up strategy - all enabled by a strong mutual value exchange.
Qualifications:
Proven Experience: 3+ years in a dedicated Email, Lifecycle, or Loyalty Marketing role, ideally within a high-growth e-commerce, marketplace, or travel/hospitality brand.
Data Proficiency: Strong analytical skills and comfort working with large datasets, segmentation tools, and transforming complex data into a simple narrative.
Technical Acumen: Hands-on experience with a modern email/marketing automation platform (e.g., Agillic, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Klaviyo).
AI acumen: Leveraging AI in the right places to scale our effort.
Strategic & Operational Balance: You can think high-level about the strategic vision for loyalty and execute the tactical campaign build, copywriting, and deployment.
Passion for People: A genuine interest in understanding customer behavior, motivations, and pain points to build truly valuable and empathetic communications.
Language: Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of Danish, German, or other European languages is a bonus.
