Digital Product Designer
Be part of a design-led, fast-growing scaleup. You’ll work across the full Landfolk ecosystem, shaping warm, thoughtful web and mobile experiences that make holidays easier and more inspiring.
Landfolk is looking for a digital product designer. We don’t hire for this position often, so this is a rare opportunity.
About the role
We’re looking for a designer, not an artist. A product builder, not a picture maker – someone who cares how things work as much as how they look, for both our users and our internal teams.
As Charles Eames said: “The details are not the details. They make the design.” That’s the mindset we want: attention to the small things that shape the big experience. And we believe design should feel warm, alive, and a little playful. We’re not building stiff tools, but digital touchpoints that help people relax, explore, and enjoy their holidays.
At Landfolk, design is part of our DNA. It leads the way, shaping what we build from the very beginning. We work in 6-week cycles inspired by Shape Up, giving clear ownership, focus, and impact.
What you’ll actually do
Design and improve product experiences across web and mobile, from idea to implementation
Work across the full Landfolk ecosystem for guests, hosts, partners, and internal tools
Help shape our first app, bringing solid mobile UX experience
Collaborate with designers, writers and researchers on new and existing features
Use and evolve our design language system
Create playful interactions and micro-moments that bring warmth and personality into the product, delighting people in small ways, not just solving problems
Turn complex flows (booking, hosting, planning) into simple, joyful experiences
About you
You’ve designed for both web and mobile and know how to turn complex product flows into intuitive experiences. You have hands-on experience with apps and understand the patterns (and pitfalls) of small screens.
Ideally, you’ve worked with e-commerce or marketplace products before and know what it takes to design for both sides of a platform, balancing user needs, business goals, and operational complexity.
You have a sharp eye for detail, strong visual taste, and can clearly articulate and defend your design decisions. You understand that good design is about clarity and structure, not just aesthetics.
Figma is your go-to tool. If you can tweak a bit of HTML or CSS, even better.
You thrive in a culture where feedback is natural, early, and honest. At Landfolk, you’ll be part of the product team with natural touchpoints to marketing, joining a small group built on collaboration, trust, curiosity – and just enough playfulness to keep ideas fresh.
Working at Landfolk
Landfolk is five years old and growing fast. With around 90 team members across Europe, we’ve been recognized by Sifted as one of the fastest growing scaleups in Europe.
We work hybrid from our beautiful office in Aarhus. There’s flexibility to work from home, but we believe the best products come from teams who actually spend time together.
What it’s like to work here:
Focus: A low-distraction environment with time to actually design and build
Team: Specialists across tech, design, business, community and communication who love collaborating
Flexibility: A hybrid setup that balances office days and working from home
Culture: Warm, informal, lots of laughs, and plenty of entrepreneurial energy
Food & Coffee: Great coffee, good meals, and a team that loves gathering around both
Field Trips: Regular visits to beautiful holiday homes (for research, naturally)
The practical stuff
This is a full-time hybrid position based in or around Aarhus. You’ll work from our office several days a week, with flexibility on others. We’re looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
Don’t send us a generic CV. Show us that you understand Landfolk, both who we are and the identity we’ve built. Show us how you think, the user experiences you’ve created, and the reasoning behind your decisions.
This is a creative role, so feel free to show that in how you apply. The format is up to you. What matters most is how you tell your story.
When you apply, include:
Links or visuals of products and apps you’ve designed
Figma files or explorations that show how you approach UX and interface design
A few paragraphs on why you want to design user experiences at Landfolk
Your thoughts on what makes a great vacation rental experience — and how thoughtful design can shape it.
We’re not looking for the perfect portfolio. We’re looking for someone who cares deeply about user experience, understands our mission, and wants to help us build it.
We'll review applications on a rolling basis.
